Additional Charges Filed Against State Trooper By Vernon Police
The Connecticut State Police trooper has been assigned to administrative duty pending investigations into an incident Monday evening.

VERNON, CT — A Connecticut State Police trooper arrested Tuesday in connection with a domestic disturbance has had additional charges filed against him by Vernon police.
Jaime Solis, 29, turned himself in at the Vernon Police Department Wednesday after learning there was a warrant for his arrest. He was charged with risk of injury to a minor, and two counts each of disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and second-degree threatening, Lt. Rob Marra said in a written statement.
He was released on a $50,000 surety bond, and is scheduled to appear Thursday in Rockville
Superior Court.

Solis, a trooper assigned to Troop D in Danielson, was previously charged Tuesday with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a minor. Following his initial arrest, state police issued a statement indicating his state police powers have been suspended pending the outcome of the Vernon police investigation and a CSP internal affairs investigation.
A written statement released by state police Wednesday said, "We have been made aware of the second arrest of Jaime Solis by Vernon Police Department. Solis’ police powers remain suspended, and he remains on administrative duties pending the active investigations."
