Alarm Issue Thursday Puts Tolland Schools In 'Secure Situation'
An alarm issue caused a little consternation Thursday at schools in Tolland.

TOLLAND, CT — A lockdown Thursday at Tolland High School turned out to be an alarm issue, town manager Brian Foley said.
An emergency message was sent to responders during the school day and a lockdown was put in place as troopers and staff members investigated the cause.
No emergencies were located, Foley indicated.

Per protocol, the town's "distal schools" were also put into "a secure situation," Foley said.
"At this point, it appears to be an alarm issue and there’s absolutely no sign of danger in any school," Foley said Thursday.
