VERNON, CT — Two disturbances at two businesses in Vernon have resulted in arrests, police said.

At 11:30 a.m. Saturday, police were told that by employees at ShopRite that a man had been harassing and making threats at the supermarket, including some violent in nature, according to an arrest report.

As the man was awaiting booking, he called the store several times, according to an arrest report.

He was eventually charged with harassment and threatening, both in the second degree.

On Jan. 14 at 11:24 a.m., the state at Vernon called in a trespass complaint against a 58-year-old woman whose listed address is the motel adjacent to the restaurant.

The woman had been warned that she was kicked out of the diner and that a return visit would require enforcement action, according to an arrest report.

Nevertheless, police saw her first on the sidewalk in front of the diner and then entering the restaurant again.

The woman was charged with first-degree criminal trespass.
