VERNON, CT — The lineup is set for the first 2026 Meet on the Street event in Vernon.
"The stage is set and the streets are ready — Vernon’s first Meet on the Street lineup is officially locked in, featuring the live music of Jeremy Haddad and Al Raebuck, plus local makers, street performers, tasty eats & more," organizers said.
Here are the details.
The Meet on the Street festival series is scheduled for May 21, June 18 and July 16, with events running from 6 to 9 p.m. on Court Street in the town’s historic downtown district.
The announcement follows the conclusion of a crowdfunding campaign in early March that raised $7,645 from supporters of local arts and culture. A $6,000 matching grant from Sustainable CT brought the total to $13,645.
The series is the brainchild of the Vernon Cultural District Advisory Board, which wanted to offer a series of events this summer to celebrate the local arts community and to bring together residents from Vernon and throughout the region.
The commission's goal is to build and support a vibrant art and culture community in Vernon, and to encourage a sense of place in Vernon’s downtown.
A variety of arts, cultural, historic and business entities will be joining the effort.
