VERNON, — A shopping plaza in Vernon known for its high traffic and variety of businesses has sold for $62.5 million.
Elliott Sasson, a managing member at buyer East Coast Acquisitions, said the deal for the Tri-City Paza closed two weeks ago.
Sasson said the traffic heading in and out made the property desirable.
Tri-City is located at 35 Talcottville Road, known locally as Vernon Circle.
How busy does Tri-City get? Vernon Director of Development Services Shaun Gately said that TJX Corp, which operates anchor stores TJMaxx and Home Goods, called Tri-City its highest traffic area on the East Coast.
The plaza is also anchored by a ShopRite supermarket, Harbor Freight and Staples.
Several restaurants over a variety of cuisines call the plaza home and, when scouting out the area, the franchisees of Jefferson Fry Co. marveled at how busy Tri-City was.
The same went for Jersey Mike's.
Dollar Tree, a Hartford HealthCare urgent care center, Chase, a UPS Store, a dentist and a vision center are also tenants.
Sasson also hailed that balance as making Tri-City a worthy acquisition,
