Vernon Man Facing 21 Criminal Charges After Outdoor Melee In Rockville

An outdoor confrontation turned into physical fireworks on the Fourth of July, Vernon police said.

VERNON, CT — A Fourth of July melee in the Rockville section of Vernon left a 38-year-old resident of West Main Street with 21 criminal charges and a night in the lockup on a $1 million bond, police said.

The incident took place along the 100 block of West Main Street just after 7 p.m., according to an arrest report.

Jerry Jolifils is accused of injuring three people by hitting them multiple times when a confrontation turned physical outside a residence, according to an arrest report.

He was held overnight on a $1 million bond and was to appear in Rockville Superior Court Monday, records show.
