Vernon Police Outline Road Closures, Parking Restrictions for July in the Sky

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Police Department Monday announced road closures, detours and parking restrictions in
anticipation of the annual "July in the Sky" fireworks celebration, scheduled for Wednesday (July 8).

The rain date for the event is Thursday, July 9.

The following measures will be in
effect:

Road Closures (6 to 11 p.m.)

• Route 74 (West Main Street and East Main Street) will be closed between Elm Street and Court Street. A posted detour will be in place.
• St. Bernard's Terrace, Park Place, and a portion of Park Street will also be closed to traffic.

Parking Restrictions

• Temporary "No Parking" areas will be designated in Downtown Rockville and near Henry Park.
• Parking will be prohibited on South Street, and some side streets will have one-side-only parking restrictions.

• Public Parking

• Public parking will be available inside Henry Park for a $10 fee (Walk-ins will have a $2 fee).
• All vehicles entering Henry Park must do so via South Street.
• Ample parking is available in Downtown Rockville lots.
