Knife-Wielding Restaurant Patron Arrested At Vernon Establishment

VERNON, CT — A knife-wielding restaurant patron was taken into custody in Vernon, police said.

Vernon police released a report on the July 11 incident on Monday.

At 1:50 a.m., an arrest report says that Vernon police were dispatched to the Rocking Horse restaurant at 57 Hartford Turnpike for a man in the parking lot brandishing a knife. Officers from Manchester also responded since the far western end of the property is across the town line.

With weapons in hand, police ordered the man to drop the knife, and he was eventually taken into custody, according to an arrest report.

The altercation began inside the restaurant and spilled outside, according to an arrest report.

The man, identified as 52-year-old Manchester resident Eric Isleib, was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and second-degree breach of peace.

He was to appear in Rockville Superior Court Monday.
