VERNON, CT — The Vernon police and fire departments are planning a commemoration for the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on America.
The event is set to take place at Fox Hill Tower at Henry Park, according to the announcement.
Organizers are also asking for help from the community as they prepare for the ceremony. The request is aimed at Vernon residents or business owners who have a direct link to the events of that day, including people who lost a family member in the attacks.
According to the announcement, the effort is intended to acknowledge people from town who were affected by 9/11.
