Uncooperative Driver Complicates Accident Scene In Vernon: Police

VERNON, CT — Vernon police Monday were still investigating the circumstances around a vehicle plowing into a guardrail on West Street in Saturday.

The driver refused sobriety tests at the scene and was taken to Rockville Hospital for evaluation, according to a crash report.

The crash took place at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday. According to police, a 23-year-old Vernon man was driving up the hill on West Street toward Daily Circle when he crashed into a guardrail.

A minor incident then turned into a struggle, when the man became uncooperative at the scene, police said.

As of Monday morning, no charges had been filed.
