VERNON, CT — A vegetable farm was among 26 businesses with Vernon addresses that registered with the state in September, according to the Connecticut Business Registry. Lone Pine Acres Family Farm LLC, on Allison Road, registered under vegetable farming. Business types in the registry are chosen by the filers themselves and have not been independently verified.
Eighteen of the new businesses list Rockville addresses. Two registered as clothing retailers, and one, Evergreen Suppliers, registered under iron ore mining at an apartment address on South Street. Other newcomers include Barbara's Apothecary, a soap maker on Prospect Street; OTalented Productions, a sound recording studio on High Street; Smyrna, a limited-service restaurant on the Hartford Turnpike; and Grace Caregivers on Hyde Avenue.
