Anocoil, a longtime Rockville-based manufacturer located on East Main Street, has been named the November "Business of the Month" by the Rockville Downtown Association.
Founded in 1958, Anocoil offers a wide range of analog and digital lithographic plates, processing chemistries and equipment including imaging and processing solutions designed for the newspaper and commercial print market.
Howard Fromson, Founder and CEO of Anocoil, accepted the "Business of the Month" award from RDA Vice President Dan Waskiewicz and RDA Board Member Carl Schaefer.
Fromson has long been a philanthropist and very active in the community, RDA president Lisa Moody said.
"He and his company have given back countless times over the past half century, particularly in terms of grants for training opportunities for public school teachers," she said.
He most recently was involved in helping the RDA to light up the water falls by Amerbelle. The falls continue behind Anocoil.
"Anocoil and Mr. Fromson are true cornerstones of the Rockville community. We appreciate all they have done over the years, and we look forward to their continuing presence in our town," Waskiewicz said.
