Another Rash Of Car Burglaries Reported In Vernon

V ERNON, CT — Vernon police are investigating a slew of vehicle burglaries that took place over the weekend into early Monday morning.

In all, 13 burglaries were reported.

Burglaries reported included Vernon Center over to Dart Hill Road down to Vernon Circle, police said.

Police reiterated their request that residents keep their vehicle doors locks, their key fobs out of range, their traditional keys out of the vehicle and their valuables hidden or removed from vehicles.

The number of cars unlocked in the latest spree was not available Monday. Organized car burglary efforts have plagued north central Connecticut for the better part of two years, police said.
