• The Lasell College baseball team swept its season-opening doubleheader against Newbury College Sunday afternoon, 9-2 and 11-1, in non-conference action at the New England Baseball Complex. Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Western New England University congratulates over 400 students, including two from Vernon, named to the fall 2018 President's List. Students are named to the President's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher. Honorees from Vernon are Tyler Johnson, majoring in Criminal Justice, and Janet Martinelli, majoring in Marketing.
