VERNON, CT — A Middletown man wanted in connection with a wintertime armed home invasion in Vernon has been arrested, police said.

Vernon police made the announcement Wednesday as 34-year-old Juan Nunez was due in court. Nunez was charged with home invasion, first-degree robbery, risk of injury to a child and criminal possession of a pistol, according to an arrest report.

A report indicates Nunez was picked up by Middletown police up on a warrant Monday and transferred to Vernon on a $75,000 bond.

Vernon Police Department spokesman Lt. William Meier said the home invasion took place on Feb. 21 at a local apartment complex.
