Bandit In Bright Hoodie Holds Up Vernon Bank Saturday

VERNON, CT — A bank on Route 30 in Vernon was robbed Saturday morning, police said. The incident took place at 9:10 a.m. at the Berkshire Bank branch near Rein's Deli, a report indicates.

A man in a bright hoodie entered bank and demanded money, police said. No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported.

The bandit fled with undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Police were still on the scene collecting evidence at lunchtime and surveillance images of the robber were released.
