Basketball, Hockey Update for Rockville High School
A look at the postseason possibilities for Rams basketball and ice hockey.

As regular season play on the ice and hardcourt enters its final weeks, one Rockville High School team has vaulted itself into contention for a state tournament berth, while two others need to catch fire in order to make it to the dance.
On the brink
The BCR ice hockey co-op, consisting of Bolton, Coventry, Rockville and RHAM, has overcome an awful start to interject itself into the Division III playoff picture. The Shamrocks opened the season by losing six of their first seven, but have since rebounded to win three straight to currently sit ninth in the D-3 rankings. Next: home vs. Hall-Southington, Saturday, 8 p.m.

Need some help
Girls basketball is 3-12, but can still qualify for the Class L tournament by winning its final five games. Next: at Tolland, Thursday, 5:30 p.m.

Similarly, boys basketball is 2-11, but would make the Class M tournament with six wins in its final seven contests. Next: home vs. Tolland, Thursday, 7 p.m.
