Bird Walk To Explore The 40 Species At Vernon's Valley Falls
The Friends of Valley Falls will be hosting a bird walk next month.

VERNON, CT — The Friends of Valley Falls will be hosting a bird walk with UConn's Denise Animani.
The event is scheduled for May 13 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Valley Falls Park.
Participants will be meeting at the park pavilion.

Animani is a lecturer with the University of Connecticut's Department of Allied Health Services and is the director of the UConn Diagnostic Genetic Sciences Program. She is also a knowledgeable and intrepid birdwatcher.
This leisurely walk often reveals up to 40 bird species and an encounter with Valley Falls' resident blue heron. Participants should bring binoculars and bird identification apps. There is not charge for the program.
