Body Found Off Trail At Valley Falls In Vernon

VERNON, CT — Vernon police are investigating an untimely death at Valley Falls park.

A hiker discovered the body of a man on Sunday, police said. The body was some distance off a trail, but visible to passersby, according to police.

Police on Wednesday were not releasing the identity of the man and said the body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner as part of the investigation.

Police said no foul play was involved.
