Bolton/Coventry/Rockville Hockey Team Opens the Season With a Win

The Bolton/Coventry/Rockville hockey team opened the season on Friday against Housatonic Valley in a game played at the Bolton Ice Palace.

BCR had 47 shots on goal and was a 6-1 winner.

BCR coach Christian Stevenson said the tragedy at a Newtown school on Friday was on the players' minds.
 
"With heavy hearts both teams took the ice and hopefully it was a distraction from today's events for both the players and fans," he said.
