Bonds For Vernon Man Balloon to $110K After Arrest Antics
A Vernon man racked up 10 times more in bond money than the amount accompanyng his original warrants for his antics while being arrested.

VERNON, CT — A Vernon man racked up 10 times more in bond money than the amount accompanyng his original warrants for his antics while being arrested Monday, police said.
At 6:10 p.m. Monday, Johan Elias Medina, 30, was picked up at the intersection of Trumbull and market streets in Hartford on three warrants for violating protective orders, according to a report.
A series of calls and messages began while the victim in the case was at Legion Field in Vernon, a warrant states. The bond for those three warrants was set at $10,000, police said.

While being arrested on the warrants, Medina was charged additionally with first-degree criminal mischief for damaging a police cruiser, interfering for struggling with officers and for failing to comply with fingerprinting requirements, according to a report.
The bond for those charges was set at $100,000, according to a report.

Medina was to appear in court on Tuesday after spending the overnigvht hours in the local lockup, police said.
