Bottle, Can Redemption Business Expands Into Vernon

VERNON, CT — A bottle and can redemption business has expanded its empire into Vernon.

Its the third north central Connecticut location for the company.

The Vernon location at 77 Industrial Park Road joins the South Windsor location at 65 Mascolo Road and the East Windsor outlet at 77 Pierson Lane.

The centers feature automated counters that can tally hundreds of returnables in seconds. They accept Connecticut 5-cent deposit plastics, cans, and glass bottles — including all store brands and microbrews.

Bottles and cans must be separated.

The centers work with scout troops, schools, churches, and other non-profit groups.

The Vernon location is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather-permitting.
