Bridge Work in Vernon Alters Neighborhood School Bus Route

Unfinished bridge work has altered the bus route in a Vernon neighborhood.

VERNON, CT — Unfinished bridge work has caused a change to the bus route through one Vernon neighborhood.

Superintendent of Schools Joseph Macary on Tuesday said bridge construction on Pleasant View Drive will not be done in time for Wednesday's first day of school. He said the work could drag on for two more weeks.

Buses will run on time, but the route will be adjusted until the work is done, Macary said.
