Strong Family Farm (the big yellow barn in Vernon Center) is excited to hold its annual Scarecrow Contest starting the last week of September and Harvest Festival and Craft Fair again this year on Saturday, October 19th. Located at 274 West Street, Vernon from 10:00 to 3:00 p.m. The fair will include lots of fun and FREE activities for the kids, barnyard animals for petting, food trucks, music, a farm animal visiting yard, over 40 juried crafters and more! The winners of the 14th annual scarecrow contest will be announced. There will be a special visit of our costume farm rooster Clucky and many of his friends. A special Chicken Parade will be held by our Backyard Chicken Class and all welcome to join in. Admission is free. Limited parking for a donation of $5 in the farm field with an entrance on Peterson Road is available. Parking is also available neighboring schools.
