The Friends of Valley Falls will hold their Annual Meeting 1-3 pm Sept. 27 at Valley Falls Farm and Heritage Center. Join us for a short business meeting, followed by refreshments and guest speaker Dan Hayden, Executive Director of the New England Civil War Museum. Dan will tell the stories of several men and women who lived during the Civil War, including Vernon residents Lizzie Chester and Joseph Porter. Parking available at the Red Barn Welcome Center, 345 Valley Falls Road, Vernon. Due to limited parking, those who can walk the short distance are asked to park at Valley Falls Park and walk the scenic trail from the park to the barn.
