VERNON, CT — A camp trailer broke loose from a sport utility vehicle and skidded across on a section of Interstate 84 in Vernon last week, state police said.

The incident took place at 12:24 p.m. on Oct. 3, state police said.

According to a crash report, a Land Rover registered out of Florida was heading west on I-84 near Exit 67. The trailer became dislodged from the Land Rover, which was in the right lane. The camper skidded its way across three lanes and hit a BMX X5, which was traveling in the left lane, according to a crash report.

No injuries were reported and the driver of the Land Rover was issued a written warning for an unsecured load, state police said.
