Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT
- Eastern's rendition of "Pluto" took center stage at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF) earlier this month. "Pluto" was one of only three productions featured at the Region 1 festival, which includes colleges and universities from all over New England and New York, including New York City. The festival occurred from Jan. 29-Feb. 2 at Cape Cod Community College and included an awards portion and theatre workshops. Among the students was Hanna Zammarieh of Vernon, who majors in Theatre and Communication. Zammarieh was a nominee for the Irene Ryan Acting Award.
Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

- Trevor Seiders of Vernon was named to the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2018 fall semester. Seiders is in the computer science program. Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.
Seton Hall University, South Orange NJ
- Seton Hall University is pleased to announce Matthew Mlodzinski of Vernon has qualified for the fall 2018 Dean's List. After the close of every semester, undergraduate students completing all courses with a GPA of 3.4, with no grades lower than "C", qualify for the Dean's List.
