UPDATE: Car, Bike, Collide Near Courthouse, Vernon Town Hall
The crash is under investigation.

VERNON, CT — A car and bicycle collided on Thursday morning at a busy interchange near the courthouse and the municipal complex in the Rockville Section of town, Vernon police said.
The crash took place at about 9:30 a.m. on East Main Street near Court Street, police said.
The cyclist was critically injured and taken to Hartford Hospital by Vernon EMS, police said. Police have not released the names of those involved.

Metro Traffic Services was at the scene assisting with the investigation, police said.
The intersection is near both the Vernon Town Hall, the Town Hall Annex and Rockville Superior Court.

Update 3:34 p.m.
Police said the cyclist is a male in his mid-20s. He was conscious but has serious injuries, police said.
Police said the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
