Car Hits Chair on Interstate-84

A driver encountered a chair on Interstate-84, state police said.

VERNON, CT — A 2014 Toyota Camry was damaged when its driver encountered what state police described as "a wooden chair" on Interstate-84, a report indicates.

The incident took place at 6:42 p.m. on April 6 on the eastbound side of the highway at exits 64 and 65, state police said.

The driver was a 21-year-old woman from North Grosvenordale, according to a crash report.

The car sustained minor front end damage, according to a report. State police did not know how the chair wound up on the road.
