Car, Motorcycle Collide In Vernon

VERNON, CT — A car and motorcycle collided on Sunday afternoon and police briefly shut down a section of Route 83.

The crash took place at about 12:40 p.m. An officer at the scene said it did not appear the driver of the motorcycle was seriously injured.

Route 83 was shut down between New England Ski & Scuba and Rocky's Hardware for a short time while responders tended to the motorcycle driver.

Police are investigating the cause.
