Car Slams Into 'Rock' Wall In Rockville
Vernon police have charged a driver who hit the landmark downtown stone wall with DUI.

VERNON, CT — A car slammed into the landmark "rock" retaining wall in Downtown Rockville, Vernon police said.
The wall is located at the intersection of East Main and Grove Streets. A report recently released by police shows that, on May 14 at 7:21 p.m., a car rammed into the retaining wall.
The driver, after police arrived at the scene, was suspected of being impaired and she subsequently failed sobriety tests, police said.

The 36-year-old from Vernon, who actually lives a short distance away on East Main, was charged with driving under the influence and a lane violation, records show.
