Car Takes Out Pole on West Main Street in Vernon

VERNON, CT — A car crash took out a utility pole on West Main Street Monday afternoon, forcing police to close a section of the road.

The crash took place in front of the New England Motorcycle Museum, 200 West Main St., police said.

The road was closed from Morrison Street to Orchard Street, through late afternoon while crews cleaned up the damage.

Police were at the scene investigating the cause into the later part of the afternoon.
