Cash and Pot Stash Seized After Vernon Traffic Stop
Police confiscated a marijuana stash after a traffic stop in Vernon.

VERSON, CT — Two teens were arrested on drug charges after about a half-pound of marijuana was located in their vehicle after a traffic stop in Vernon, police said.
The stop took place at 4:10 p.m. near 221 West Main St. on Monday, according to a report. The Rockville community police officer noticed a front registration plate was missing on the vehicle and pulled it over, according to a report.
After smelling marijuana in the car, police searched it and uncovered 8.4 ounces in bags. Cash totaling $360 was also located in the vehicle, according to a report. Phones were also confiscated.

The driver, Michael Levigne of Vernon, 18, was charged with posession of a controlled substance, failure to display plates and poseession of drugs with the intent to sell, according to a report.
The passenger, who was in possession of the money, was identified as Jordan Martin, 18, of Tolland. He was charged with poseession of a controlled substance and possession with the intent to sell, according to a report.

The are both slated to appear in court on Dec, 10, police said.
