Century-Old Windows To Be Restored At Vernon Historical Society
A state grant is assisting with the funding.

VERNON, CT — A project is on tap to restore the aging windows on the Vernon Historical Society building on Hartford Turnpike.
The windows in the museum building are nearly 100 years old and need restoring, officials said.
The society applied for a matching grant with the Connecticut State Historic Preservation Office and received $40,825.

The restoration project is slated for 2023 and the windows will be restored using the original components whenever possible in an effort to to retain the historic character of the building, officials said.
