Christmas Book Depicts the Holiday in Connecticut

Caryn B. Davis has captured the pure essence of the Christmas holiday in the Nutmeg State with her book.

It's Christmas Day in Connecticut and that means folks will be waking up to presents under the trees but also some of the most unique scenery and history in the nation.

The book is a photographic trek from the hills to the Long Island Sound to Hartford and to the history and the historic homes east of the Connecticut River. The images are brilliant, well displayed and capture the pure beauty of Connecticut in December.

Davis began her career as a "cameraperson," and editor and producer of documentaries and that comes out on the display, layout and sequences in the book, whether its a holiday festival," a quiet, decorated sailboat or a light display in a pubic park. The book is, collectively, a complete picture of Connecticut.

Oh yeah and a castle in the Connecticut River Valley shows off the state area where David lives with her family.

The book is a welcome addition to the collections of anyone calling Connecticut home, and the guess here is it never get put away ― from Christmastime to the warmer months and to the fall.

The 212-page hardcover book, published by Globe Pequot, was being offered on Amazon today for $23.22.
