Christmas Tree Collection Schedule Outlined In Vernon

VERNON, CT — Christmas trees will be collected in Vernon the first two full weeks in January, weather-permitting, officials said.

Residents are being asked to remove all decorations, tinsel and plastic bags before leaving them at the curb.

In addition, the Transfer Station will be accepting Christmas trees for disposal the entire month of January. A permit and punchcard will not be required to dispose of a Christmas tree, officials said.
