Citizen Helped In Med Emergency Comes Back to VPD To Say Thanks
A citizen helped by Vernon first-responders during a medical emergency came back to say hello on Monday.

VERNON, CT — A citizen helped by Vernon first-responders during a medical emergency came back to say hello on Monday.
Michael Spagna stopped by Vernon Police Department today to thank the officers who helped resuscitate him after he suffered a cardiac arrest on Aug. 25. Police said it was about 7:45 that morning at Ray Seraphin Ford off Route 83.
On hand to celebrate his full recovery were officers Earl Middleton, Kerry Reynolds, William Meehan, Dale Lagace and Sgt. Rob Marra.

A bystander started CPR and police officers quickly arrived and continued CPR, police said.
He was "shocked" several times by officers and EMS crews. He was brought to Rockville General Hospital and then Hartford Hospital, police said.
