Civil War Camp
The Alden Skinner Camp #45 of The Sons of Union Veterans will be presenting their 2nd annual Civil War Day Camp for kids!
The Strong Family Farm in conjunction with The Alden Skinner Camp #45 of The Sons of Union Veterans will be presenting the 2nd Annual Civil War Day Camp. Living historians will take you on a trip back in time to the Civil War ear, learn and experience first hand how the soldiers lived during the 1860s. Reenactors will present hands on programs including cooking, communicaitons, camp life, marching and much much more!
The camp will be held Saturday, April 29th at the Strong Family Farm in Vernon from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $20 (camp T shirt and canteen with each registration) and is open to girls and boys ages 7-14. Each camper must bring a lunch and Civil War era snacks will be provided throughout the day.
Pre-registation opens March 1st and is limited to the first 30 children. Registration is required including completion of all forms.
