Adelphi University, Garden City NY

• Erin Gonyeau of Vernon graduated from Adelphi University at commencement ceremonies on May 19 at NYCB Live: Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Gonyeau earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts. Graduation honors included Magna Cum Laude and Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Honorary. Gonyeau was also among a select group of outstanding students named to the spring 2019 Dean's List. The Dean's List comprises full-time students-registered for 12 or more credits-who have completed at least 9 graded credits and achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above for the semester.

Lasell College, Newton MA

• Sarah Kline, a Legal Studies major from Vernon, presented work at the Lasell College Spring Connected Learning Symposium in April. Kline gave a presentation, "Anime and Ethics: A Miyazaki Story," as part of a course on modern Japan.
