Bryant University, Smithfield RI

• Sarah Rossi, class of 2022, from Vernon, has been named to the Deans' List for the spring 2019 semester.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• Emma Johnson of Vernon has been named to the 2018-19 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Academic All-Conference Team. In order to be eligible for the league's academic all-conference squad, a student must have a 3.25 cumulative GPA and have reached second-year academic status.

Goodwin College, East Hartford CT

• Goodwin College announces that 992 students achieved Dean's List status for the spring 2019 session. Vernon residents making the list are Danielle Ambrose, Tonya Bailey, Sara Barlow, Erica Clayton, Samantha Cohen, Kristen Curtis, Tara Dagesse, Kiki Dixon, Paul Frazier, Andrew Gervais, Nicholas Hale, Susan Harris, Ashley Hayford, Sydney Isch, Erika Lobo, Eunice Melendez Brana, Angelo Mercaldi, Tracy Millette, Jennifer Mueller, Jason Ouellet, Joseph Pellegrino, Jonathan Rice, Simone Sewell, Marsha Smith, Ryan Sroka, Pamela Storo, Jesse Taylor, Alexa Walcher and Sarah Williams.

Muhlenberg College, Allentown PA

• Madison Baranoski of Vernon was named to the Dean's List at Muhlenberg College for the spring 2019 semester. Students with a term GPA of 3.50 or higher were recognized for this academic achievement.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• At the undergraduate commencement on May 19, 695 bachelor's degrees were awarded. Including the degrees awarded at the graduate ceremony on May 18, a total of 1,265 degrees were awarded over the two days. At the graduate commencement, 522 master's degrees, one certificate of advanced graduate study, five Doctor of Philosophy degrees, 36 Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees, and six Doctor of Psychology degrees were awarded. Graduates from Vernon were Sophia Marcucci, master's of science degree in Occupational Therapy, and Alisicia Belisle Rosario, master's of social work degree in Social Work.
• Springfield College has named the following students from Vernon to the Dean's List for academic excellence for the 2019 spring semester. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester. Honorees from Vernon and their majors are Chloe Campellone, Health Science and Pre-Physical Therapy; Elizabeth Chew, Health Science and Pre-Physical Therapy; Sarah Bannon, Health Science/Occupational Therapy; Mackenzie Correia, Health Science/Occupational Therapy; and Ian Macala, Health Science/Occupational Therapy.
