Columbus Day Trash Delays Announced In Vernon

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Monday Oct. 10, 2022 in observance of Columbus Day. Trash and recycling will not be collected on that day but instead will be collected on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022 along with that day's collection.

Excess refuse and recycling may be brought to the Transfer Station free of charge year-round on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 pm and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.

The Transfer Station will be closed on Sunday Oct. 9, 2022.
