Columbus Day Trash Schedule Posted In Vernon
Columbus Day is changing the pickup schedule for trash and recycling in Vernon.
VERNON, CT — The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Monday in observance of Columbus Day.
Trash and recycling will not be collected on that day but instead will be collected on Tuesday, along with that day's regular route.
Excess trash and recycling may be brought to the Vernon Transfer Station free of charge year-round on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
