Cops Find Kids Alone In Car At Vernon Plaza, Charge Father
Charges were filed against a Windsor man after children were found alone in a car at a Vernon shopping plaza, police said.

VERNON, CT — A 33-year-old Windsor man is facing criminal charges after Vernon Police responded to complaints about children being left in a car at a local shopping plaza.
Vernon police released a report on the Dec. 19 incident Thursday.
At 6:47 p.m. that night, police received a call about toddlers being seen alone in a car that was not running at the Tri-City Plaza, according to an incident report. Temperatures were just above freezing at the time, police said.

According to an incident report, the man left his 2-, 3-, and 5-year-old children alone in his car. He claimed he moved to another car in the parking lot and was watching them from the other vehicle, according to an incident report.
He was charged with three counts of risk of injury to a child.
