Cornerstone Sponsoring Good Friday Walk In Vernon
A Good Friday walk in Vernon will benefit Cornerstone programs.

VERNON, CT — The Cornerstone Foundation is hosting a Good Friday Walk in Vernon.
Cornerstone is inviting community members to sign up for the 2022 Good Friday event, which falls this year on April 15.
It begins and ends at the Rockville United Methodist Church at 142 Grove St.

The Good Friday Walk will benefit Cornerstone programs. Those not wanting to walk can sponsor a walker and donate online as well.
The walk is slated to begin at 9 a.m., with participant registration beginning 30 minutes earlier. The walk will take place over a 5k distance from the church through Rockville and parts of Henry Park and then back to the church.

There will be a water and snack station set up at the Fox Hill Tower.
The local Good Friday Walk began at Rockville United Methodist Church in 1984. Prior to this year, the walk consisted of 20 miles through Vernon, Ellington and East Windsor. This year, it will stay in Vernon.
The goal is to raise $10,000 for Cornerstone to continue the programs to address the needy in the community.
