Couple Found Dead From Gunshot Wounds In Vernon Home Identified
Two Vernon residents died as a result of gunshot wounds in their home Friday, police said.

VERNON, CT — Vernon police Tuesday officially released the names of the couple found dead in a local home Friday as a result of gunshot wounds.
At at 5:43 p.m., Friday, officers and detectives responded to a report of two untimely deaths at 21 Vinetta Drive. When they entered the home, investigators located a 61-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman with fatal wounds inflicted by a gun, police said.
They have been identified as Anthony Priester and Karen Priester, who lived at the home.

This investigation is ongoing and Vernon Police Department detectives are continuing to work with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the "exact cause of deaths," according to an incident report.
There was never a threat to the public, police said.
