Crash Report Released for Monday Truck Rollover in Vernon
State police have released details on a Monday highway truck rollover in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — A crash report for Monday's tractor-trailer trailer rollover in Vernon describes an instance of vehicular pinball along a stretch of Interstate-84 Westbound at the height of the morning commute.
The report places the crash at 8 a.m. on the westbound lanes, just shy of the Exit 65-64 interchange. The truck, owned by K Transport out of Palm Coast, FL; was in the left of three lanes when it veered to the right and hit a 2015 Jeep Cherokee in the center lane, according to the report.
The truck then shot to the left and rolled over onto its left side on the shoulder, according to the report.

The Jeep bounced toward the right shoulder, according to the report. Its driver, a 40-year-old woman from Woodstock, did not report any injuries, but went to to Manchester Memorial Hospital as a precaution, according to the report.
The 55-year-old truck driver was trapped in the cab and had to be extricated by firefighters, according to the report. He had a forehead laceration and was taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment, the report indicates.

State police said the crash is still being investigated.
