Credit Union Officially Opens In Vernon

VERNON, CT — A new financial institution has officially joined Vernon's business landscape.

The 360 Federal Credit Union officially opened Saturday at 413 Talcottville Road. It actually opened its doors a couple of weeks ago, but formal ceremonies took place last weekend.

The credit union has filled a triangular vacancy at the intersection of Talcottville (state Route 83) and Thrall roads. The parcel, vanant for years before 360 stepped in, previously hosted a Cumberland Farms and a Thornton's gas station before that.

Cumby's left the parcel to build a state-of-the art store down Route 83.
