Customer Hurt As Car Hits Commercial Building In Vernon
A car hit a business in Vernon Wednesday afternoon, police said.
VERNON, CT — A customer escaped serious injury, but was nevertheless hurt when a car smashed into a commercial building in Vernon Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The crash at 1207 Hartford Turnpike — the address of the Integrity Hair Salon — occurred at about 2 p.m., police said. When officers arrived, they encountered a vehicle that had struck the outside of the business.
The unidentified driver was not hurt, but a customer inside the salon suffered what police called a minor injury.

Police said Wednesday evening that the exact cause of the crash is still being investigated and the building is being inspected by the Vernon Building Department.
