Decorated Vernon Police Officer Tedford Retires From The Force
Decorated Vernon Police Department sergeant Rick Tedford has retired from the force.

VERNON, CT — Decorated Vernon Police Department sergeant Rick Tedford has retired from the force after two decades on the job.
Tedford was hired by the Vernon Police Department on May 6, 2002 and he has worked all three shifts.
He was a firearms instructor for 15 years. and served as an instructor on the Intoxilyzer and Draeger breathalyzers for several years.

Tedford has accepted a job with the Connecticut State Capitol Police Department. He will start with the Capitol on Monday. His last Day was Feb. 18.
