Details Announced for Vernon's July in the Sky Celebration

VERNON, CT - The town's annual July in the Sky celebration is scheduled for July 6.

Gates at both Henry Park and Downtown Rockville for officials open at 6 p.m., town officials said.

Henry Park will again feature the Kids Fun Zone and Downtown Rockville will feature vendors and the Rockville Community Alliance's annual kids patriotic parade with young people on bikes, skateboards, scooters and on foot.

Uncle Sam on stilts always makes an appearance.

There is a $5 per car charge at Henry Park and a $1 charge for walk-ins. Proceeds go directly to pay for future shows.

Fireworks are scheduled for 9:40 p.m.
